Tel Aviv, old and new

Tel Aviv's first Jewish neighborhood, established in 1887, is preserved as several blocks of quaint homes surrounded by skyscrapers. It is called Neve Tzedek, meaning Oasis of Justice.

Beit Ha'ir (City Hall) housed Tel Aviv's government for 40 years, from the city's founding in 1925 to 1965. Now it is a historical museum and art gallery, with many pictures of the old city.

Tomorrow I will post my remaining pictures from Tel Aviv.
